Yoox: 210 millions investments and 500 jobs in Emilia Romagna
Bologna - Over 210M Euro invested and over 500 new jobs by the end of 2020. Emilia Romagna continues to attract business and industrial groups, and is soon to sign a development agreement with the Regional Administration, the Ministry for Economic Development, Invitalia (National Agency for Inward Investment Promotion) and the YOOX NET-A-PORTER GROUP S.p.A. (YNAP), a global leader in e-commerce for luxury products, developed a project for the sites of Interporto (Bentivoglio) and Zola Predosa, near Bologna.
The Deliberation on the agreement was approved in the last sitting of the regional government. According to the President of the Regional Administration, Stefano Bonaccini, the attractiveness of Emilia Romagna is due to the "quality of its human capital, its infrastructures and its public policy providing clear answers", while there is a continuing effort towards creating more and more opportunities for young people. After the Settlement Agreement signed a few months ago with the regional administration, within the scope of Regional Law No. 14 on inward investment promotion, this new agreement strengthens the investment plans for YNAP sites in Interporto (Bentivoglio) and Zola Predosa, as part of the 2016-2020 global plans of the worldwide leader in luxury e-commerce: Research & Development, Big Data, technology platforms and omni-channel offers.
The Agreement seals a investment exceeding 28M by the Ministry for Economic Development.
