Wine: Brunello di Montalcino from Bangkok to Beverly Hills

Wine: Brunello di Montalcino from Bangkok to Beverly Hills =

(AGI) - Florence, 14 June - Like a globetrotter, Brunello di Montalcino became the star of two key international events. Last weekend, the great red from Tuscany was in Thailand at the highly successful "Benvenuto Brunello Bangkok" [Welcome Brunello Bangkok] event. It all began on 6 June, with the "Classic & Cool: the 2013 vintage of Brunello di Montalcino" Masterclass at the Grand Hyatt Erawan Hotel, led by the director of the Brunello Consortium, Giacomo Pondini, and the world leading sommelier Luca Martini. The sold out event had 85 operators in attendance (mostly from Thailand, but also Malaysia and Vietnam). The following day, the Walk Around Tasting events were also fully booked (160 operators) as were the two dinners, one at the Sheraton's "Rossini" restaurant with Sommelier Luca Martini, and one at the Grand Hyatt's "Tables" with Giacomo Pondini. Next Sunday, the wine will get star treatment as it lands in the USA for the "Rodeo Drive Concours d'Elegance" in the heart of Beverly Hills, where the Brunello Consortium is an official partner. This is a very popular Luxury Car event in the States, with many celebrities expected to attend. In this iconic location which is synonym with international luxury, four hundred carefully selected guests will have the opportunity to get to know the Brunello, and the VIP guests who have access to the restricted lounge will be able to savor it as the exclusive wine for the evening. A very glamorous partnership, which will provide great visibility. As highlighted by Patrizio Cencioni, President of the Consortium, "our brand is already quite well-known internationally, but we want to consolidate our image in order to maintain our position in the main markets and support our growth in the new ones where we see the greatest potential. Events like those in Bangkok or Beverly Hills enable us to do so, while enhancing one of the most prestigious wine growing regions in the world".(AGI) .
