More than 50 companies from the footwear, clothing and men/woman leather goods sectors meet 11 selected buyers from Russia, Bielorussia, France, Germany, Ukraine and Sweden. The event takes place at the Cosmopolitan Hotel in Civitanova Marche, thanks to "WeLoveModainItaly", an incoming initiative, organized by CNA Federmoda and Agenzia Ice, which is held on 20 and 21 November. The objective is to encourage the internationalization of small and medium companies − which are considered a strategic growth and development factor − by promoting Made in Italy products abroad and supporting the expansion of the companies on international markets. "We have pre-selected companies and buyers, explains Antonio Franceschini, manager of CAN Federmoda Nazionale, and Giammarco Ferranti, manager of CNA Federmoda in Fermo and Macerata", who sent the company profile presentations.
It's an unmissable opportunity for companies that cannot expand internationally − because they are too small − to promote their products directly on foreign markets from Italy".
The companies that are participating in the event are not just from Marche, but also from Lombardy, Tuscany, Puglia, Emilia Romagna, Abruzzo and Lazio. Entrepreneurs will meet importers and retailers, including representatives of the renowned Parisian department store Le Bon Marche'; Companies are also offered a photo shooting opportunity, to create material that will be used for promotional purposes. "Foreign markets are essential to the fashion sector", said Marco Landi, national president of CBA Federmoda, "but companies need to adequately structure themselves to expand internationally. Incoming initiatives are strategic for companies that have the tradition, capability and know how, as those in such an important district as this, an opportunity that cannot be missed". "Companies ask for initiatives like this; it was the right move", added the president of Federmoda Marche, Doriana Marini. "We hope to create contacts that bring work to the district".
According to Gianluca Mecozzi − CNA Federmoda's regional spokesman for the footwear sector and national delegate for internationalization − the presence of exhibitors from other Italian regions, shows that there is a lot of interest for this kind of initiative: "They are meetings that lead to good orders, which can make a difference to small and medium companies. The results of the first day are already encouraging".
