Tuscany: the treasures of the Maremma on an app

Florence - An app to discover the treasures of the Maremma, which can be found at the 50 sites of the museum system of the Province of Grosseto, offering visitors essential information about this region rich with traditions, charm, history and nature.

The new application, produced by Rete Musei di Maremma and created by Prisma srl in Florence, can be downloaded for free on smartphones and tables. The new app, completely redesigned and reprogrammed, replaces the one produced in 2015 and features a more functional and intuitive interface, compared to the previous version. Users just have to click on the icon on their phone to access a detailed map showing all the museum network's exhibition locations. In addition to their position on the map, users will be able to find information, images, opening times and online and telephone contact details.

The app also offers the chance to learn more about each museum and the itineraries section provides information on naturalistic routes. The new app is connected to the website, www.museidimaremma.it, and allows visitors to keep up to date with the latest network initiatives and the events organized in the different locations. The website is linked to the Izi.Travel platform, which includes brief details and audio explanations, translated into English and German, to facilitate accessibility and divulge the information.
