Tunisia: deadline for enrolling for the Italian language Olympics
Tunis - The Italian Cultural Institute (IIC) of Tunis has notified that the registration deadline for the eighth edition of Italian language Olympics is 23 Jan next - including for Italian language schools abroad. The initiative is organized by the Italian Ministry of education, University and Research with the collaboration of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI). This event is intended to reinforce Italian language studies in schools. Last year, over 57 thousand students took part in the selection process, constituting a record growth with respect to the first few editions.
The Olympics are individual contests, open to all high school pupils - from high schools both in Italy and abroad, whether state or charter. The tests are ranked according to the academic level of each participant and their Italian language usage context. New for this year, the return of the national final in Florence on Tuesday, 27 March, as part of the "Italian language days", scheduled to take place between 26 and 28 March. The finals will be open to the 84 students who have successfully passed the various selection phases in Italy and abroad.
