Rome - Stimulating the innovation process within major firms and fostering the growth of emerging businesses, which stand out for their willpower and entrepreneurship: this was the challenge set by project Open Italy Cloud4Wi and Sentetic, for the development of innovative Customer relations and Predictive Maintenance projects. In a statement by the Chairman of Anas (the Italian National Autonomous Roads Corporation), Gianni Vittorio Armani, announced two contracts for two start-ups, as part of the "Open Italy" project promoted by Consorzio Elis, which groups together the biggest entrepreneurial concerns in Italy, under the patronage of the Ministry of Economic Development. "This is a challenge - the top manager added, on the subject of Open Italy - that we have overcome, thanks to the commitment and passion of many innovators who have taken part and placed their talent at the service of businesses". As regards the two contracts with the two start-ups, Anas explains that Cloud4Wi is a platform called "Volare" that will be capable of providing information and services to its customers during their travels via the Wi-Fi network. The platform constitutes one of the components of the smart road project, which allows vehicle to vehicle and vehicle infrastructure dialog, as well as the possibility of receiving traffic information and additional services. The second contract, assigned to Sentetic, concerns infrastructure monitoring. The distinguishing feature lies in the ability to carry out plant maintenance with an innovative approach based on big-data and deep learning. The system analyzes the operating data of any industrial device, and manages to identify any anomalies and prevent faults, thereby reducing maintenance costs and improving energy performance levels. Anas intends to try it to see whether it is possible to have an analysis of the state of deterioration of the structure from a vibrational track of a bridge deck.
