Sicilsaldo: from Gela to Messico for a methane pipeline

Palermo - Sicilsaldo, based in Gela, has signed an 80 M euro contract for the construction of a methane pipeline in Mexico. The deal was sealed with the financial and insurance support of Sace which together with Simest constitutes the export and internationalization hub of the Cdp Gourp. Sace provided the company with the guarantees necessary to execute the work in connection with the construction of the methane pipeline that will go from Salamayuca to Sasabe. The project, which has a total value of 560 billion dollars, will cut across the states of Chihuahua and Sonora, in the north of the country, and will have a total length of 650 km.

    Sicilsaldo specializes in the construction of oil and multi-utility pipeline structures and networks. With 3.7 billion of goods exported in 2016 (+5.6%), Mexico is a priority market for Italian companies. Sace, in its annual report on exports, included the country among the 15 geographic areas with the greatest potential for Italian companies in the next 4 years, with an average 3.3% growth per year.
