Pretoria from August 15, Rosetta Messori exhibition
Pretoria - August 15 sees the opening of "Roses", an exhibition by the Italian photographer-artist Rosetta Messori, in the Gallery at the South African State Theater. Organized by the Istituto Italiano di Cultura, Pretoria at the State Theater, as part of the Vavasati International Women's Festival to celebrate Women's Month in South Africa, the exhibition will be open to the public until August 18. Comprising 23 prints on fine cotton paper, the photographic images are the result of long exposure times and specific camera movement while shooting, which aim to "dematerialize" the real by creating new shapes generated by contact with light. On August 18, Rosetta Messori will also hold a photographic workshop at the Festival. Aimed at young photographers as well as enthusiasts, Ms. Messori will share her experience in the world of photography and the vision which inspires her works.
