Rome - Newspapers, magazines and gift-books unknown to Matilde Serao's biographers will be on show from Wednesday September 20 in the rooms of the Emeroteca-Biblioteca Tucci, on the second floor of Palazzo delle Poste in Naples. Title of the exhibition: "A journey to discover Serao the journalist, through 70 rare Italian and French newspapers". At the inauguration, a film will be shown and there will be a debate on the great Neapolitan woman born in Patras, ninety years from her death.

Among the material on show, there will be a number of publications that are not available in any Italian library, such as "Il Pungolo della domenica", 1883; "Le Monde moderne", 1898; "Mon dimanche" and "Le Gaulois du Dimanche", 1908; but previously unknown pieces written by Serao were also found in some of the non-exclusive works, such as "Rivista Nuova di Scienze Lettere e Arti" and "Il Convegno", 1880; "La Tavola Rotonda", 1892; "La Tribuna Illustrata", 1893; "La piccola antologia", 1894; "Capitan Cortese", 1896; "Corriere d'Arte", 1898; "Illustrazione Meridionale", 1900; "Mater Suavissima", 1901; "Rinascimento", 1905; "Per la Calabria" and "Pro Calabria", 1906; "La Gioventu'", 1907; "Les Annales Politiques et Litteraires", 1908; "Le Heures Litteraires", 1909; "L'Arte Muta" and "Nuovo Convito", 1916, and many more.The huge amount of material found by "Tucci" on its shelves and province bookshops across Italy and France will be collected in a comprehensive illustrated catalog
