Morocco: contract worth 4.2 million for SACE and Mac Costruzioni

Rabat - The new dock in the port of Tangier, in the north of Morocco, will have an Italian mark. SACE - which together with SIMEST forms the export and internationalization hub of the CDP Group - has obtained the MAC Costruzioni contract, worth 4.2 milion euros. The company from Veneto, which operates in the medium-high construction sector, obtained the contract to build an extension of the dock in Tangier's port, Tanger Med 1, a strategic commercial hub in Morocco, thanks to its privileged location in the Strait of Gibraltar, gateway to Europe.  "A necessary support for the financial development of this important contract that has allowed MAC to finalize a carefully planned internationalization process - said Andrea Miatto, legal representative of MAC Costruzioni. I hope this work will be a symbol of the quality of the services offered by Italian companies in the construction sector, even outside Italian borders". The operation confirms SACE's commitment to companies from Veneto, where in 2016 - through the offices in Venice and Verona - it supported more than 1,800 companies with resources for 2.2 million euros, and its attention towards markets in the South of the Mediterranean, essential for Italian exports. MAC Costruzioni started its activity restoring Venice and Padova's artistic heritage. Over the years, it expanded its horizons and entered the world of civil and industrial constructions in the railway and maritime sector.
