Made in Italy: Oil and Chianti Tuscany ambassadors in London
Florence - A "team" of excellent Tuscan table products that is getting increasingly stronger and ready to win over new palates across Europe. It's formed by Consorzio tutela Pecorino Toscano Dop, Consorzio del Prosciutto Toscano Dop, Consorzio Vino Chianti Classico Docg and Consorzio Olio Chianti Classico Dop, and is ready to fly to London in the next few days to take part in an event dedicated to British buyers, operators and journalists from the food and beverage sector. The appointment is another stage of the European Art of Taste (EAT) project which brings together the four Tuscan food and wine products bearing the DOP and DOCG quality assurance labels co-funded by the European Union in 2016 (with more than 700,000). During the evening event in London, each Consortium will present its product and offer a tasting experience. The EAT projects runs for three years. In the past few months it got the four Consortia involved in a number of different initiatives, such as the international fair trades in Anuga and Cologne and an event in Dusseldorf. In the coming months, the project will include initiatives in Italy, Germany and the United Kingdom.
