Beirut - The Winter Special Mountain Warfare course, organized by the Italian Bilateral Military Mission in Lebanon (MIBIL) for the benefit of the staff of the Ranger Regiment of the Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF), ended today with a closing ceremony for the delivery of participation certificates. In addition to the Lebanese military authority, the Mission Commander, Colonel Stefano Giribono, also attended the ceremony. The 4-week Winter Special Mountain Warfare course was led by the Mobile Training Team of the 4th Alpine Ranger Paratrooper Regiment from Montorio Veronese (VR).The MIBIL, which has been operating in Lebanon since 2015, organizes, conducts and coordinates training courses and practical training for the Lebanese Armed Forces, as part of a broader international initiative to support the institutions of this Middle Eastern country with the aim to increase their overall capacity.
