Israel: role of Italy in the preservation of Acre's architectonic
Tel Aviv - For the series "The Italian connection" the hidden and the visible in ancient Akko, a lecture and guided tour dedicated to the role of Italy in the preservation of Acre's architectonic, artistic and archaeological heritage. Today, 17-19:30 at International Conservation Center - Citta' di Roma, Rehov Salah El Basri, Old City. Lecturer: Avner Hilman, archaeologist and conservator. The Beginning of buildings preservation in ancient Akko by the Israel Antiquities Authority 25 years ago, with an in-depth look at the wooden specifications and the painted ceilings of the effendi houses in Acre.
