Iraq: Eni presents the Pediatric Hospital Improvement Project 

Basra - The Eni Iraq representatives met the Governor of Basra to present the improvement project of the Pediatric Hospital. The project is focused on education & training, infrastructure, technology and maintenance, patient and family empowerment and clinical process safety. Eni Iraq representatives met the Governor of Basra on December 18th to present a project which aims to upgrade the Basra Pediatric Hospital. 

The project will focus on 4 main areas of intervention: education & training, infrastructure, technology and maintenance, patient and family empowerment and clinical process safety.
The Gaslini Pediatric Hospital of Genoa (Italy) will support Eni Iraq in the execution of the project with its international experience. The Gaslini Hospital will play an advisory role and also develop some project components. 

Eni Iraq has also presented its overall Sustainability Program, which focuses on the education sector. Eni has built a new primary school in Iraq's Alburjazia district where it is also building a secondary school. Five existing schools were refurbished in 2017. The program aims to build 27 new schools and refurbish 50 existing schools over a 6-year period.
In addition to the above, Eni has trained more than 800 students in 2017 through its Energy and Environmental awareness campaign and intends to further train 40.000 student in the next 5 years.
