Indonesia: Renaissance Dance show by La Rossignol in Jakarta

Jakarta - The Italian Embassy in Indonesia and the Italian Cultural Center in Jakarta has held the Renaissance Dance Show performed by La Rossignol of Italy.This one dance is very gentle with few movements coincided with each other respectfully, forward, backward, spin. The male and female dancers dance slowly in an elegant classic European dress. The Renaissance-era dance entitled Festa A Corte was held on Friday, September 22, 2017 staged at Hall Movie Center H. Usmar Ismail, Kuningan, Jakarta. This Renaissance Dance is a musical performance, singing and dancing of Italian nobility in the XV-XVI century. The dancers namely Letizia Dradi and Roberno Quintarelli danced accompanying by the traditional music of the era. The musical instruments include transverse flute, pipe bag, lute, positive organ, gurdy, renaissance guitar, drums performed by Matteo Pagliari, Francesco Zuvadelli, and Domenico Baronio.
They performed 21 songs and dances from a composer-made composition in the 1500-1620s. Their dance and music reflect the Italian culture at that time which refers to an elegant, structured movement referring to form. With their classic costumes, they emphasized the relational and social aspect of renaissance dance by creating the Italian Festa type served in music and dance. It presented element of the party with a banquet device as a complement on stage. The renaissance dance performance received the attention of the audience. Hall of Movie Center H. Usmar Ismail was filled with curious audiences with this Renaissance-style dance. The show lasted approximately one hour and received a warm welcome from the lovers of Italian culture.
