Indonesia: Concert for Pavarotti to be held in Jakarta

Jakarta - The concert will be held on Sunday November 26, 2017, at the Ciputra Artpreneur Theater, Jakarta. In the tribute concert, four great musicians from Italy were brought in to commemorate a decade of the departure of Luciano Pavarotti.

Luciano Pavarotti, known as Big Luciano, is one of the most beloved artists, captivating a worldwide audience in the second half of the 20th century. His long career took him to the world's most prestigious opera house and theater, and his constant activity and dedication made him a "bel canto" ambassador and undeniable Italian culture on the world stage. With his artistic and media skills and passion for tireless music, he managed to change the face of the opera.

For more than forty years he has attracted an increasingly new public in the opera. "Who does not know Pavarotti. We are working hard to reach the community to see two great tenors and two sopranos from Italy perform here," Rina Ciputra Sastrawinata President Director of Ciputra Artpreneur said during a recent press conference in Jakarta.

The four musicians are Alin Stoica (Tenor), Jenish Ysmanov (Tenor), Elisa Balbo (Soprano), and Paolo Andreoli (Pianist). In addition to four Italian musicians, the event was also enlivened by a piano maestro of the country, namely Ananda Sukarlan. The concert will include some famous songs, such as Traviata-Brindisi, 'O Sole Mio, and more. During the concert, an unpublished Pavarotti video will play.

The special part of this recital is a memo exhibition of Pavarotti's intimate music career. Facing this important event in Jakarta will present the wife of the great maestro, Nicoletta Mantovani, who is also Director of the Luciano Pavarotti Foundation. "Pavarotti is not only a tenor but a great artist, we discussed this idea several months ago," said Director of the Italian Cultural Center, Michela Magri. "Then I decided to hold this event in Indonesia, Pavarotti will be here," she added.
