 Limiocello Villa Massa

Naples - Limoncello from Sorrento has become Spanish. Zamora Company, the Iberian beverage brand, completed the acquisition of the Limoncello Villa Massa by buying the remaining equity from brothers Stefano and Sergio Massa, thus reaching 100% of the company's stock. The Group has a strong presence in the liquor sector and a solid international experience. The Zamora Company had held 51% of shares in Villa Massa since 2006, with the remaining 49% still in the hands of the Massa brothers. With this transaction, Zamora Company crosses the Spanish borders for the first time. "This acquisition is the result of the commitment made to the Massa family, to invest in the traditional values of the brand, maintaining its identity and authenticity, as is the case with the IGP Liquore di Limone di Sorrento. Furthermore, we will improve its global visibility", explained Emilio Restoy, CEO of the Zamora Company.Since 1890, the Massa family has been producing this liqueur in Sorrento, following a family tradition spanning several generations. Villa Massa is a global company, leader in the production of premium Limoncello, marketed in over 50 countries. In addition to Limoncello, Villa Massa manufactures several other traditional liqueurs from the Sorrento coast, such as the Orange, Mandarin and Sorrento Walnut liqueurs, as well as the Limoncello Cream. Since its foundation in 1991, Villa Massa has pioneered the international trading of its traditional Limoncello liqueur. Zamora Company is a family business trading fine wines and liqueurs, with operations in over 80 countries, a 350-people strong team and an estimated 2017 turnover around 160 million euros.
