Export: Maroni, Lombardy among the best regions in Europe 

Milan - "The region of Lombardy is reallyspecial: among the best in Europe". Writes, on his Twitteraccount, president Roberto Maroni, who also attaches thearticle, published today on 'Il Sole 24 Ore':'Export, three Italian regions among the best in Europe - Lombardy, Emilia Romagna and Veneto as good as the Germans'. The article highlights how the three regionscan compete with South Germany's Landers,the driving force of the economy, so much so thatthey are rated side by side when it comes toforeign exports. In particular, with regard to Lombardy, the business paper highlights how, by exporting 112 billion euros per year, the region is the fourth in Europe, almost 'on the same level as Sweden, which, in 2016, exported goods for no less than 118 billion euros'. At the top of the list, the three German regions: Baden-Wurttemberg, Bavaria and North Rhine-Westphalia.
