Cinema: Giffoni Experience becomes a case study in Washington

Naples - Genesis and growth prospects of the Giffoni Experience are to star at George Washington University between 25 and 27 October next. The aim is to translate the almost 50 years of activity of the Giffoni film festival, which has already been addressed in 180 university degree theses, in a case study, available to students of the world's main business schools. Promoting the three-day American event are Roberto Parente, director of the LISA Lab at Salerno University, and Ayman El Tarabishy, lecturer in management at the American University and director of the international network, International Council for Small Business, who developed an international research project focused on Giffoni to tell its story from an entrepreneurial logic. "Giffoni is a case of Italian excellence in social entrepreneurship - explains Parente - the conditions exist for an ecosystem of innovation to arise from that festival, capable of creating employment and economic development in the local territory". The case study also involves structured interviews. The project was developed with the support of Luca Tesauro (CEO of Giffoni Innovation Hub), who outlined the event's growth possibilities. The three-day event in Washington pools together some of the leading experts, academics and policy makers on entrepreneurial development.
