Beijing - Bialetti lands in China thanks to an agreement with e-commerce giant Alibaba and increases its presence on the Chinese web. The Italian group internationally renowned thanks to its Moka Express, confirmed it has signed an agreement with the giant founded by Jack Ma to sell its coffee machine range and home wear products online on TMall Global, Alibaba's B2C channel, which reaches approximately 488 million users and whose online sales make up for 60% of home wear seles in China. "In this first stage" says Bialetti in a note, "the agreement will involve a number of Bialetti's representative coffee products, including the iconic Moka express": the group will offer a range of ground coffees on the Chinese market. To increase its presence on the Chinese market, Bialetti has also opened an official account on WeChat and a dedicated profile on the social network Weibo, the most popular micro-blogging social network in China. "Today, the chance to penetrate the Chinese market represents a concrete opportunity, which we want to address in the best way with the support of the best partners", said Roberto Ranzoni, International Sales Director at Bialetti Industrie. "We want our Chinese customers to discover and truly appreciate our Italian coffee products".
