Montreal - Phlegraean Fields starring in Montreal in the film documentary "Mirabiles. The Custodians of the Myth" (2016) by Alessandro Chetta and Marco Perillo. The event, organized by the Italian Cultural Institute in Montreal in occasion of the Italian Language Week, will take place on Tuesday 17 October at the University of Montreal."Mirabiles. The Custodians of the Myth" is a journalistic and sentimental video document. The authors, exploring the Phlegraean Fields, in Campania, have focused on five fascinating archaeological sites that are still largely unknown to the greater public and have no ticket office. They are kept alive by their custodians, people residing in Bacoli and Pozzuoli, often elderly. The Italian Government entrusts them with these old sites, and over time, they have become legendary figures for tourists and residents. The documentary's objective is to highlight these sites of great cultural interest through the words of those who, for generations, have been taking care of them, almost voluntarily. The sites are: Piscina Mirabilis, Grotta della Dragonara, Teatro Romano, Tomba di Agrippina, Grotta della Sibilla.
