The information was provided by the Italian Embassy in Angola in its monthly November newsletter, sent to AGI. According to the publication, the Week "will be characterized by quality and sustainability, with a special focus on biodiversity and food security". It adds that "one of the main issues will be the promotion of Italian wine". Several events will mark the initiative that is also taking place in S„o TomÈ and PrÌncipe, an official Portuguese-speaking African island in the Atlantic. Tasting of Italian dishes, wines and ice creams, buffets, show cooking and special dinners based on pizza, pasta and other products selected in the special menu prepared for this purpose will conform the initiative.

The Week is celebrated all over the world with the purpose of valuing all the aspects that revolve around the Italian food culture.
