Ducati motorcycle manufacturer signaled to launch conventional and electric scooters in ASEAN countries including in Indonesia. Edouard Lotthe, managing director of Ducati, said that his company has prepared plans for both scooters. They will be available in 2021. According to Lotthe, Ducati's current priority is to focus on the forthcoming Euro 5 emission standards that will come into force in 2020.   "Currently scooter sales are booming in Asia, especially in areas such as Indonesia, India and Thailand, we emphasize that Ducati will not produce 300 cc Cylinder motorcycles as a rival to BMW Motorrad," Lotthe said as quoted by Autopro. Meanwhile, as quoted by The Economoc Times, following in the footsteps of BMW Motorrad, this step could be a potential for European brands, reflecting on what KTM has done with their Asian partners who have soared since join hands with Bajaj.   KTM entry level products such as Duke 125, 200, 250, 300, to RC with the same capacity, is not only hot in developing countries, but also in Europe and the United States.   "This step can be a reality in the medium and long term In India and Asia, the two-wheeler market is very strong, which has technical competence, production capacity. If indeed we enter in the segment of small cc motor, we will evaluate to choose a partner from a competent brand," said Andrea Buzzoni, Ducati's Global Sales and Marketing Director.  Ducati is able to sell 55,000 units of motorcycles per year worldwide. When entering the class 250 cc-500 cc, sales volume will certainly increase. Ducati's smallest ammunition at this time is Scrambler Sixty2 with a capacity of 399 cc engine. But if the Ducati step to shrink the machine cuk, it will certainly make the price of the motor to be cheap and certainly able to compete with the Japanese-made motorcycle market.
