Top Italian firms participated in China Glass 2017

Beijing - China Glass Expo 2017, the Chinese glass industry event, showcased Italian excellence in glass processing, featuring 32 companies over a 1063 square metre surface area. The GIMAV group - the Association of Italian manufacturers and suppliers of machinery, equipment and special products for glass processing, in partnership with ICE, the Italian Trade Agency, and the Ministry of Economic Development brought Italian top production for the glass sector to Beijing.

Among the participating companies, mention is to be made of leading enterprises such as Fenzi, Bottero, Intermac and Bdf, and cutting-edge technological firms for glass processing and production. The event took place at Beijing's New China Exhibition Center, which is the key-location where local and foreign companies launch their most innovative and above all high-end solutions for many different industrial uses.

Last year's China Glass edition in Shanghai exceeded the figure of over 22,000 visitors. "Chinese entrepreneurs have always been extremely interested in what Italian technology has to offer, especially now that China needs to push for higher quality standards in order to face up to global competition. The attention for Italian products is now increasing," wrote Gimav in a communique. The Italian Ambassador to China, Ettore Sequi, recalled that " Italian brands have a high level of innovation and competitiveness" and are acknowledged worldwide. Amedeo Scarpa, director of the ICE office in Beijing, underlined that Italian companies are flexible and "are committed to innovate and customise" according to their clients' requirements.
