TerniEnergia

(AGI) Rome, June 15 - TerniEnergia, a smart energy company active in the fields of renewable energy, energy efficiency and waste and energy management, has won a new contract of approximately eight million dollars for the construction in Zambia of an industrial-scale photovoltaic plant with a capacity of 34 MWp. The company, listed on the Star segment of the Italian Stock Exchange and part of Italeaf Group, will build the installation on behalf of a leading Italian utility. With this job, TerniEnergia confirms its leading role in the construction of large solar plants in Africa, after installing about 150 MW in South Africa, opening a subsidiary in Mozambique to participate in international tenders, and receiving an order for another 47 MW plant in Egypt. The company is also involved in the development of new plants and is active in operation and maintenance. The Zambian plant will be built in Lusaka, covering an area of about 50 hectares. The contract includes engineering, procurement and construction without the supply of modules, inverters, trackers, photovoltaic modules and inverters. About 150 construction workers will install about 106,260 poly modules of 320 W power. Some 2,550 kg of carpentry steel frames and 960 km of electric cables will be used in the construction. (AGI). .
