Rome - "The Russian Federation seeks to attract not only major companies but also small Italian enterprises, especially in the digital field and in the agro-industry": this is the message launched by the Deputy Prime Minister of Russia, Arkady Dvorkovich, who took part in Russia's "Country presentation" at the Palazzo della Farnesina in Rome. During a press point with the Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Angelino Alfano, Dvorkovich stated "Italy is a strategic and privileged country for Moscow."
At the meeting, the representatives of the Russian Federation illustrated various investment opportunities to Italian entrepreneurs.The Italian Undersecretary of Economic Development, Ivan Scalfarotto, highlighted "the importance of dialogue with the Russian Federation, even in difficult times" and underlined the historic cultural and economic bond between Italy and Russia, which, in 2013, had a trade worth 31 billion euro. Minister Alfano also confirmed the strong economic relations with Moscow and the long-lasting friendship between the two countries. The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs recalled the many institutional meetings held between Italy and Russia in recent months, emphasizing the strong friendship and sound trade relations between the two countries, also thanks the new "Made with Italy" formula.
