Reggio Emilia's educational system on exhibit in Toronto

(AGI) Toronto, Aug 3 - An exhibition entitled "Lo stupore del conoscere" (The wonder of learning) promoted by the Ontario Reggio Association and the Italian Cultural Institute (IIC) in Toronto will remain open till Nov. 13. The travelling exhibition was organised by Reggio Children and the North American Reggio Emilia Alliance. It began touring in 2008 and will end its travels in 2018. It changes cities in North America every six months, and is currently being hosted in Toronto's Fairmont Royal York Hotel. The exhibition illustrates the experiences in Reggio Emilia's nurseries, kindergartens, and primary schools. In line with the previous "I cento linguaggi dei bambini" (The Hundred Languages of Children) exhibition, it aims to reaffirm the founding values of Reggio Emilia's approach towards education and especially to recount its changes, innovations, and developments. The exhibition addresses the situations revolving around schools and is targeted towards a broader public that views the safeguarding and evolution of educational processes as vital for society.
