(AGI) Rome, Aug. 18 - Pope Francis will go to the Rome Trade Fair (Fiera di Roma) near Fiumicino Airport to attend the Cardiology Society Congress on 31 August, announced the spokesperson of the Holy See, Greg Burke. It will be a very special visit as it will wind up the ESC Congress 2016, the largest meeting in the world on cardiovascular diseases which will unite 35,000 cardiologists from all over the world at Fiera di Roma from Aug. 27 to 31, reads a note posted by the Congress organisers. At 12:15 p.m. on Wednesday, 31 August, Pope Francis, from the flying bridge connecting the central pavilions, will address the cardiologists from 144 different Nations meeting in the 'Eternal City'. Pietro Piccinetti, Sole Director of Fiera di Roma said: "Pope Francis's visit is a deeply touching event. This Pontiff, with his human warmth and empathy, is an endless source of surprise. I think he has decided to address a greeting to these physicians from all over the world, people who, in their day-to-day work, make an effort to save lives and alleviate suffering, because he shares with them a care-giving mission. For us in Fiera di Roma, the thought that our facilities will echo the words of the Holy Father is an indescribable honour." (AGI) . .
