Nazarbayev: "It is impossible to recreate the Soviet Union"

(AGI) - Astana, Aug. 23 - The Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev noted that the Eurasian Economic Union was purely an economic integration block without politics at the Kazakh - Polish Business forum taking place today. The President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev arrived yesterday to Poland for 2-day official visit. "I know that Poland does not like the Eurasian Economic Union. I hear that people say that Russia wants to resurrect the Soviet Union. However, those who want to recreate the Soviet Union they are not sane because it is impossible to do it", The Kazakh President stressed. He called for the active cooperation between the European Union and Eurasian Economic Union during the conference on this topic that would take place in Fall 2016 in Kazakhstan.
"Eurasian Economic Union has a population of 180 million people with the GDP of more than 2.5 trillion US dollars. This union is the purely economic integration. We highly value our independence as Poland does", Nazarbayev explained. In the end of his speech he invited Polish companies to work in Kazakhstan and to have access to the huge market of the Eurasian Economic Union. (AGI)
