(AGI) - Omegna (Verbania), Feb. 11 - Renato Bialetti, son of the founder of the Italian cookware company Bialetti, died on Wednesday at the age of 93. He spent the last years of his life in Ascona, Switzerland. He led the company after WWII and was worldwide "ambassador" of the Moka Pot, the famous coffee maker that was designed by his father in 1933 and would become one of Italy's best-known icons. Renato Bialetti was known for his resourcefulness and humor. He created the company's trademark, a little man with a moustache, in 1953. It was based on a caricature of himself made by cartoonist Paul Campani and marked a real innovation in corporate marketing, also thanks to the success of the advertising program "Carosello".. .
