Milan and Moscow to cooperate in the field of transport

Moscow - The Deputy Mayor of Moscow and Head of the Moscow City Transport Agency, Maksim Liksutov, and the Minister of the Moscow City Government, Minister of Moscow Government - Head of the Department of Foreign Economic and International Relations, Sergey Cheriomin, met with a delegation of the Metropolitana Milanese, MM Spa, headed by its Director General, Stefano Cetti, to discuss a possible cooperation between Moscow and Milan in the field of transportation.

As pointed out in an official communique', Mr Cheriomin spoke about the investment projects carried out in Moscow with the Italian partners, the priority projects and the development plans for the Russian capital. He also updated the participants on the preparation of the Moscow Days to be held in Italy in the autumn. Mr Cetti said that MM Spa is interested in actively cooperating with Moscow and added he believed it to be a very promising strategy. Mr. Liksutov proposed to write an Memorandum of Understanding on the cooperation initiatives between Moscow and Milan metro companies. The talks were also attended by representatives of the Italian Embassy in Moscow, the Moscow Metro, the Russian Railway Company RZHD and other agencies.
