Rome - The second edition of the "Milan-Abu Dhabi Business Forum" will take place on December 5 and 6 and will follow up on the event held in Milan last May. Fifty Italian entrepreneurs and managers representing companies with a vocation for internationalizing their activities in the Gulf will attend the event, together with Michele Angelo Verna, director general of Assolombarda, and Giulio Di Sabato, president of Assomoda. Italy will showcase a wide range of businesses, including major banking institutions such as Unicredit and Ubi Banca, well-established representatives of the Italian style such as Candy, Poltrona Frau, Aran World and Listone Giordano, infrastructure companies such as Pessina Costruzioni, logistics companies such as Cappelletti Finim, small- and medium-sized enterprises such as GPS, start-ups like Vulcano Food Gourmet Vanvitelli and Panini di Mare, and fashion brands such as Lidia Cardinale and Chicca Lualdi, which will present their collections at a fashion event organised by the Abu Dhabi Business Woman Council. The United Arab Emirates, where oil dominates the economy, are becoming an extraordinary logistics and economic hub for the Gulf area and also for Africa and the East. There are many sectors of interest: real estate and construction, transportation and logistics, accommodation and tourism, fashion and jewellery, design and interior decoration, catering and gastronomy, media and entertainment, energy and oil&gas, financial services, training, security, aviation and defence, machinery and medical supplies. The Milan-Abu Dhabi Business Forum is the brain-child of Giovanni Bozzetti, Italy's representative at the Chamber of Commerce of Abu Dhabi and founder of EFG Consulting, a company offering strategic marketing and internationalization consultancy services. "Today the UAE and Abu Dhabi represent the new frontier for Italian companies thanks to the great interest they have for the Italian style and products, revealing a higher spending propensity for Made-in-Italy products than for any other product. Safety, a growing economy, administrative foresight and a forward-looking government vision, in addition to a strategic geographic position, make the UAE and Abu Dhabi a 'must' in developing the business of Italian companies," said Bozzetti.
