Malta on display through photos from Giovanna Di Lauro
 La Valletta, Malta

(AGI) La Valletta, July 6 - Pictures taken on a simple smartphone by a young Italian woman, Giovanna Di Lauro, have captured the essence of Malta and given birth the "MaltaInMyEyes" exhibit, which is open to the public in La Valletta's Palazzo Ferreria till July 15. The exhibition is the result of an unexpected initiative taken by Di Lauro after completing a stage at the Manoel Theatre through her participation in the European mobility project Ecvet-EcoTour. It is sponsored by the Italian Cultural Institute, the Molise's Region's department for culture, the Maltese Ministry for the Family and Social Solidarity, the Mediterranean Academy of Culture, Tourism and Trade, the Association for Italian-Maltese Commerce (AssoMalta), the Manoel Theatre, and by the Hermes Corporation. Giovanna Di Lauro, born in Campobasso in 1985, is a former tennis player in the national Under-18s. Since the end of her sporting career, she has dedicated herself to studying communications. She completed a specialisation in visual, public, and business communications with a thesis entitled "Identita' fotografiche: processi di costruzione della realta' attraverso l'immagine" (Photographic identities: reality-building processes through imagery), and graduated cum laude at the University of Milan. Presently, she collaborates with photographic studios and communications agencies in Italy. (AGI). .
