Leonardo Sonnoli lectures for Italian Design Day in Luanda

Luanda - Leonardo Sonnoli will give a lecture in Luanda, Angola on Thursday, on the occasion of the Italian Design Day. The initiative, organised by the Farnesina, will involve over 100 cities across the world, including Johannesburg and Cape Town in Africa. Mr Sonnoli will lecture on "Design with Words", while the Angolan architect, Antonio Gameiro, will focus on the "Angolan Pavilion at Milan's Expo 2015".

The event will be organised by the Italian Embassy, in cooperation with the Istituto Superior Politecnico 'Alvorecer da Juventude' (ISPAJ), and ICE, the Italian Trade Agency. Mr Sonnoli is one of the major Italian designers and is the President of the Alliance Graphique Internationale. His works may be found in many international public collections as France's National Library and the Louvre Museum, Zurich's Museum of Decorative Art, and San Francisco's Modern Art Museum.

The event wil be hosted by the Istituto Superior Politecnico Alvorecer da Juventude, under the direction of the Italian architect Claudio Di Curzio. The audience will include university students and professors, as well as artists, designers and Italian language students.
