Leonardo-Finmeccanica and Russian Post strike deal on hub

(AGI) Rome, June 23 - Italian aerospace company Leonardo-Finmeccanica and Russian Post have launched a project for the development of a multi-functional logistics hub in Novosibirk's Tolmachevo airport. Leonardo will provide ready solutions based on innovative sorting technology that will automate processes and allow the entire spectrum of postal products - from letters and registered mail to parcels and packages - to be managed at an international and national level, optimising the logistical flows in the Novosibirsk, Omsk, Kemerovo, and Tomsk regions, and in the Altai territory. The sorting systems will be controlled by a software platform of Leonardo's creation. Leonardo will also provide support and training for the hub's employees. (AGI). .
