Kazakhstan, Nazarbayev in Turkey to endorse Erdogan

(AGI) - Astana, August 6 - The Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev has arrived to Istanbul to meet with Erdogan for the official visit on 5 August. Nazarbayev vowed to send anyone working or studying at Kazakh Turkish schools linked to US-based preacher Fethullah Gulen back to Turkey should they be found to have "terror links". "We have never supported things that were against Turkey. This is beyond our range of interests. Therefore, we have agreed that our joint group consisting of members of our education ministries will check the work of each school," The Kazakh President noted.
"The failed coup was a concern for us. We cannot support such things. On behalf of the people of Kazakhstan and personally I would like to extend my sincere condolences to the families and friends of those who were killed during the coup attempt. I made this visit to support Erdogan and Turkey," Nazarbayev concluded. (AGI)
