Kazakhstan: chinese plans to build an extension of Almaty metro

(AGI) - Astana, June 15 - Xinjiang Commerce and Industry Corporation San Bao intends to participate in the construction of the second stage of the first line of Almaty metro. According to San Bao's Deputy General Director Xie Yun Fang, Kazakhstan is an important market for the Chinese company that has offices in Almaty, Astana, Pavlodar. "Today, we are in the process of the construction of a cement plant in Kokshetau. Now we are in the negotiation process on the construction of the extension of Almaty metro. It is very important for our company", Xie Yun Fang noted. The Almaty metro was initially launched on December 1, 2011 with the total length of 8.6 km and the the construction of the second stage began in 2015. It has been the second operating metro in Central Asia after Tashkent metro built in the Soviet Union times. (AGI) .
