Italy takes part in Dvorak Prague Festival

(AGI) Prague, Aug 31 - Italy will take part in the Dvorak Prague International Music Festival, which runs from Sept. 5 to 24. On Sept. 8, Maestro Gianandrea Noseda will conduct the London Symphony Orchestra's performance of Antonin Dvorak's Cello Concerto in B minor, Op. 104 with soloist Jiri Barta, and Sergei Rachmaninov's Symphony No. 2 in E minor, Op. 27. The Orchestra of the National Academy of Santa Cecilia will take the stage on Sept. 24, with Maestro Antonio Pappano conducting the Ouverture of Gioachino Rossini's "La Cenerentola" and Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto in D major, Op. 35 and Symphony No.5 in E minor, Op.64. The Italian Cultural Institute will help publicise Italy's concerts. The Dvorak Prague Festival was launched in 2008 and quickly became one of the top musical events in the Czech Republic. (AGI). .
