Italy promotion events in Suzhou and Hangzhou

(AGI) Beijing, May 24 - The ninth Suzhou Appreciation Meeting Business Forum on Wednesday will mark the start of three days of promoting Italian companies in China. The annual meeting at the Shanghai-La Hotel brings the local authorities of the city of ten million inhabitants in eastern China in contact with Italian companies in the area. The idea was conceived by the Italian Chamber of Commerce in China. The main areas of cooperation between Italian companies and the city of Suzhou will be discussed during the meeting, as well as opportunities for Italian firms to expand. Suzhou hosts the largest Italian industrial district outside Italy, with more than 150 companies working in different sectors. The event will be attended by the Italian Ambassador to China, Ettore Sequi, the director of the Italian Trade Agency (ICE) office in Shanghai, Claudio Pasqualucci, and the President of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in China, Sergio Bertasi. On May 26, a Business Forum will be held in Hangzhou, the eastern Chinese city that is home to e-commerce giant Alibaba. This forum can expect contributions from Ambassador Sequi, ICE China coordinator Amedeo Scarpa, and Mr Bertasi. The sessions will focus primarily on the main areas of cooperation between Italy and China, including healthcare, aerospace, sustainable urbanisation, the environment and energy. On 27 May, a tourism promotion event will be held and the visa centre in Hangzhou will be officially opened. There will also be meetings between the Italian ambassador to China and local authorities. Many Italian groups operating in China will take part, including Sace, Bracco Sine, Ferrero, Rsa Asia Tax Advisor, In3Act, Progetto Cmr, Carpisa, Wiido, Gruppo Rainbow, University of Modena and Reggio Emilia and Triumph Asia.. .
