Italy on show at Farnbourough International Airshow

(AGI) London, July 11- The Farnbourough International Airshow 2016 opened on Monday July 11 and it will run until July 17. Farnbourough, a small town not too far away from London, every other year hosts a world renown trade show displaying the best of the aerospace industry: Space, Civil, Military, Manufacturing Technology and the Innovation Zone. Italy is very well represented at the Show. Leonardo- Finmeccanica CEO and General Manager, Mauro Moretti, held a press conference on Monday morning to present the Group's new name and logo to the international press, illustrating also the challenges Leonardo-Finmeccanica is to face in the near future. Italian Minister of Education, University and Research, Stefania Giannini toghether with Roberto Battiston, President of the Italian Space Agency - ASI, Roberto Maroni, Governor of Lombardy Region and Nicola Zingaretti, Governor of Lazio Region, attended the opening of the Farnbourough International Airshow 2016. A delegation of members of the Defence Committee of Italy's Chamber of Deputies, headed by its chariman, Francesco Saverio Garofani, arrived in the Fair, where Italy's Minister of Defence, Roberta Pinotti, is expected to arrive on July 12.
