(AGI) Rome, July 20 - The participation by six Italian startups at the APEC fair in Shenzen was an "extraordinary" event that exceeded all expectations, said Marco Mistretta, CEO of IngDan Italia. With its #RoadToSuccess project, IngDan Italia brought six startups to Asia's most important fair for IoT (Internet of Things) hardware innovation, the ninth edition of the APEC Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) Technology Conference and Fair held in Shenzhen's Convention Center on July 14-16. IngDan Italia S.r.l. is the Italian subsidiary of IngDan.com, the largest internet company in the world for IoT hardware, and is listed on Hong Kong's stock exchange with over 8000 partners among manufacturers, retailers and investors. With 1,350 exhibitors, more than 500,000 visitors, and over 500 international media partners, the fair provided a unique chance for innovative startups and SMEs to display and launch products and services. "The fair was a top level event. It had an exhibition area of over 20,000 square metres in the heart of Shenzhen, with extraordinary participation by Intel, Baidu, Wechat, and all the large Chinese groups," Mr Mistretta told AGI. "Our startups walked among these giants. Each had their own personalised display area during the three-day fair, in addition to a day reserved for investors, held in Hong Kong alongside the private equity fund Tsing Capital. The startups competed with China's cream of the crop". Davide Venturelli's startup Archon, which developed software that manages drone fleets, won first prize. "A demonstration of how much our startups are actually micro-multinational companies and the best facet of our Made in Italy 4.0. If given the outlet and opportunity, they can achieve great results," said Mr Mistretta.. .
