Italian startup firms at Global Entrepreneurship Summit
Global Entrepreneurship Summit 

(AGI) Rome, June 21 - Four Italian startup companies will participate in the Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES), which will be held from June 22-24 this year in Palo Alto, California, the U.S. Embassy in Italy announced. The four participants are: Giovanni Basso, founder of the San Francisco-based start-up Peadler; Diva Tommei, who heads Solenica; Lisa Di Sevo, a consultant for Dpixel and a board member of Girls in Tech Italy; and Luca Bona, founder of LB Consulting. The group will join over 700 entrepreneurs arriving from across the globe, alongside investors, speakers, and leaders in the business world. The participants will also have a chance to meet U.S. President Barack Obama and top U.S. officials, including: Penny Pritzker, the Secretary of Commerce; Maria Contreras-Sweet, the head of the Small Business Administration; Gayle Smith, the Administrator of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID); Catherine Russell, Ambassador at-Large for Global Women's Issues; and Richard Stengel, the Under Secretary for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs. The summit is the seventh in a series that has previously been hosted in the U.S., Turkey, UAE, Malaysia, Morocco, and Kenya. (AGI). .
