Italian film directors to participate in Lebanese festival

Beirut - Five young Italian film directors are participating for the first time in the 9th edition of the Cabriolet Film Festival in Lebanon, with their short films focusing on the 'traveller' theme. The outdoor event will be divided into two parts: from June 9 to 11 St Nicholas' Stairs in Beirut's iconic Gemmayzeh neighbourhood; and in the month of August along the old Roman Way at the entrance of Byblos.

The initiative stems from the Laboratoire d'Art association in conjuction with the Italian Cultural Institute in Beirut. The programme includes David Vigore's "The Traveller", Giulio Tonincelli's "Di la", Fabio Palmieri's "Irregulars", Andrea Natale's "Journey Notes" and Pietro Novello's "Continental Drift".
