Italian Embassy in Warsaw to open on Museum Night

Warsaw - The prestigious Szlenkier Palace in Warsaw, home to the Italian Embassy, will open its doors to welcome visitors on Museum Night, which will take place in the capital city of Poland on Saturday, 20 May. Despite the damages suffered during the past war, the premises of the Italian diplomatic mission in Poland is one of the few 19th century bourgeois residences in Warsaw to survive until today.

The palace is undoubtedly one of the most elegant embassies in the capital city. Among the interior furnishings, worthy of mention is the Neo-Renaissance red marble fireplace located in the antechamber on the first floor, along with a painting by Cristoforo Munari (1667-1720) - 'Still Life with Books', originally from the Uffizi Gallery in Florence.
