(AGI) Tirana, Sept 2 - The documentary "The First Love of Mother Teresa" by Italian writer and documentary maker Folco Terzani will be shown in Tirana on Wednesday in connection with her canonisation. Mr Terzani will present the documentary at the Italian Cultural Institute and talk about the year he spent working as a volunteer at the Home for the Dying in Calcutta (now Kolkata). The moderator will be the journalist Majlinda Cullhaj. The screening will take place at the Fujimoto "Cloud" pavilion on Deshmoret and Kombit Boulevard and was organised by the institute and Tirana City Hall. "The First Love of Mother Teresa" is the last authorised documentary on Mother Teresa. It reveals the essence of her message and her daily work teaching how to tend to the poor in the first home she opened, the Home for the Dying in Calcutta - a place so dear to her that she called it her "first love". Folco Terzani was born in New York and grew up in Singapore, Hong Kong, Beijing, Tokyo, Bangkok and New Delhi. He crossed Asia with his father, the famous Italian journalist Tiziano Terzani. He attended public school in Beijing, graduated in Modern Literature at Cambridge and attended New York University Film School. His documentary is drawn from his experience at the home. He added his last conversations with his father to the posthumously published autobiography "The End Is My Beginning", on which he based the screenplay for a film of the same title. He also wrote a book called "Barefoot on the Ground". (AGI). .
