Italia Republic Day: Uae leaders congratulate Mattarella

(AGI) - Abu Dhabi, Jun 2 - The UAE President, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has sent a congratulatory cable to President Sergio Mattarella of Italy on the occasion of his country's Republic Day. Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, dispatched similar cables to the Italian President. Republic Day, also known as Festa della Repubblica in Italian (Festival of the Republic), is a national holiday in Italy on June 2nd each year. It celebrates the day when Italy voted to abolish the monarchy in 1946 so that the country could become a republic. (AGI) .
