(AGI) Istanbul, Aug 12 - A selection of twelve films to illustrate the work of Ettore Scola. The Italian Cultural Institute (IIC) in Istanbul organised a screening week from September 1 to 8 to celebrate the famous Italian director, who passed away in January. The cycle will kick off with "Police Chief Pepe", starring Ugo Tognazzi, who won the Best Actor award in that role, and "A Special Day", starring Sophia Loren and Marcello Mastroianni, which won the Golden Globe for Best Foreign Language Film in 1978, and David di Donatello for Best Director. "What Time Is It?", also starring Mastroianni alongside Massimo Troisi, will be screened on Sep. 2, followed by "We All Loved Each Other So Much" with Nino Manfredi, Vittorio Gassman, Stefania Sandrelli, Federico Fellini, Mastroianni, and Aldo Fabrizi. "Let's Talk About Women", "The Dinner", "Le Bal", and "The Pizza Triangle" will be screened on Sep. 5. The cycle will end with "Will Our Heroes Be Able to Find Their Friend Who Has Mysteriously Disappeared in Africa?" and "Splendor". (AGI). .
