(AGI) Tehran, June 9 - Iranian oil company Petropars has signed a memorandum of understanding with Italy's Inter Oil Italia Srl and the Pars Special Economic Energy Zone on Thursday, to develop a new oil field in south Iran. The managing director of Petropars, Mohammad Javad Shams, said: "This is the first document signed to develop a complete oil centre in the third region of the Pars oil field, with explorations, offshore and inshore production, and export of the products." During the first phase of the deal, which will last for eight months, the three partners will run feasibility studies, he said. It was a pleasure to be working with Inter Oil and he referred to the successful projects the Italian company has carried out in African ports. Petropars and Inter Oil have collaborated in phase 12 of the giant South Pars plant, and this was why the Italian company was chosen as a technical partner in the project, he said. The area to be developed includes the Pars North, Golshan, Ferdowsi and Farzad A and B fields. The foundation for the agreement was laid by Iranian President Rohani during a visit to Italy. (AGI) . .
