Indonesia: Tajikistan to expand cooperation in various fields

(AGI) - Jakarta, Aug 1 - President of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi) today received the official visit of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon at the State Palace, Jakarta. President Rahmon will also attend the 12th World Islamic Economic Forum (WIEF), on 2-4 August 2016 in Jakarta. Both heads of state and their delegations discussed a number of cooperation to enhance bilateral relations. Government of Tajikistan and Indonesia welcomed exchange students through a scholarship program for the study of culture, education and diplomatic training. President Joko Widodo stated that the government of Indonesia and Tajikistan also agreed to exchange information in the field of financial intelligence related to money laundering and terrorist financing.
