Hamburg to host Italian cinema festival

(AGI) Hamburg, Aug 23 - The 19th edition of the "Cinema Italia" festival is ready to kick off in Hamburg. Six films on Italy will be screened at the Metropolos Kino cinema, displaying the level of Italian cinematic productions. The festival will begin on Sep. 17 with "The Stuff of Dreams", with director Gianfranco Cabiddu as guest of honour. The festival will also feature "Latin Lover" by Cristina Comencini, "Lea" by Marco Tullio Giordana, "Don't Be Bad/Tu nichts Boses" by Claudio Caligari, "Per amor vostro/Aus Liebe zu euch" by Giuseppe Gaudino, and "Se Dio vuole/Um Himmels willen" by Edoardo Falcone. All of the movies will be screened in their original version with German subtitles. After Hamburg, the festival will continue its tour in over 30 German cities. The festival is organised by Made in Italy and Kairos-Filmverleih in collaboration with Metropolis Kino, the Italian Cultural Institute (IIC) in Hamburg, and the Italian Trade Agency (ICE), and is sponsored by the Italian Ambassador in Berlin, Pietro Benassi.
